Time, It's On My Side

Thu Jan 15, 2009, 9:15 AM
  • Mood: Excited
  • Listening to: Lord I Life Your Name On High by The Insyderz
  • Reading: State of Fear by Michael Crichton
  • Watching: My phone charge
  • Playing: Avoid housework
  • Eating: Peanut Butter Toast
  • Drinking: Chocolate Milk
Today classes start at K-State and for the first time in 9 semesters, I don't have class. It's a weird feeling. I sent Russell off this morning and sat at home, kind of sad, trying to figure out what to do with myself. Of course there's plenty to do around the house--I've got to get everything ready for the baby, and my nesting instinct has really kicked in and I've been cleaning and organizing madly for a few days now. But it's still kind of a bummer to not be going to class, seeing friends, co-workers, and classmates on a regular basis, etc. So I'm hoping to make more phone calls this semester, so I don't get too lonely.

At the same time I'm really excited and happy, happier than I've been in a long time, because I feel like life is beginning for us. I can't wait to meet my son, to take care of him, show him off, and watch him grow. I'm excited to look for a new home in Colorado, excited for Russell to get his new job, and just plain happy to be a wife and a soon-to-be mom.

As these thoughts and ideas race around in my head, as my due date draws nearer, and as the semester goes by, I hope to capture some of my thoughts and feelings in poetry and drawings. But I can't make any promises. There's still a lot to do to get ready for baby. But I'm so excited, it's ridiculous.

Whyfore hast thou not commented on the ROGUE posts? I know you know what happens, but its newly written and from 'your' point of view. ^^ Granted, the format isn't as good as xanga. I don't know which I like better. better format or easier trace back. oh well. Just thought I'd bug ya.

Your smiley is depressing me. Let's just say I'm saving them for a rainy day b/c I want to take the time and really give them some good comments. I'll read one right now while I'm eating lunch. Since I accidentally forgot to wake up for my 1:05 class. Oops!

You silly. I wish I had the luxury of missing classes, but we grad students can't do silly undergrad things like skip/miss classes. *sigh* Alright, as long as you know they're there. I can most certainly wait if it means good comments. ^^

Pardon me ma'am, but I have seen a few of your comments, and all of them begin with "JMJ IHM." Not to be intrusive, but mind if I ask what exactly that stands for?

JMJ IHM

JMJ = Jesus, Mary and Joseph
IHM = Immaculate Heart of Mary

It's a Catholic tradition for some people, kind of a way of dedicating all I write or type to the Holy Family and our Mother. I write it at the top of most papers I write on, too.

Ah... now it all makes sense!

I'm watching , so that's where I first noticed it. Being very curious person, I was wondering what it meant. (JMJ...? Jam Master Jay? RUN DMC?)

Thanks!

That was the cutest smily I have ever seen. It looks like when you scared me in the basement. Geeesh.
